MEDIUMS (TYPES OF ARTWORK AVAILABLE) SIZES PRICES DISCOUNTS & OFFERS PAYMENT METHODS & PROCEDURE POSTAGE ORDER ========================================================= There is a waiting period of approx. one week from time of receiving your photo to postage for this item - although time will differ upon occasion. You will be informed if the artwork will take longer. All paintings (except minatures) are created on stretched canvas and come unframed. They can be hung as is or framed. Minatures are created on a canvas sheet and should be framed with your choice of cardboard matting and a thick cardboard or wooden backing. Paintings do not require framing under glass. All drawings are created on quality drawing cartridge and will require framing. Drawings are best framed under glass with your choice of cardboard matting. The drawing itself should never be allowed to touch the glass. You can send individual or group photos of your pet/s. Your photos can be emailed to me or sent via post (requires longer waiting period).  *Photos will be returned to you with your finished painting.* You will be contacted within 24 hours of sending your photo with further details and questions regarding the medium and preffered background for your artwork. After completion of the artwork - you will be emailed a photo of the finished work. If you are happy with the artwork - you will contact me for an invoice. If you are not happy with the finished artwork, the sale will be cancelled without question. No payment is due until after the artwork is completed. If you are not completely satisfied with the result you do not have to pay, but by doing so you agree to me selling the finished painting at auction to whoever wants to buy it. ==================================================== CHOOSE BETWEEN THE FOLLOWING MEDIUMS: Oil Paint on Canvas Created with the finest quality Australian Art Spectrum oil colours, oils have a depth and glow that surpasses other mediums. Due to the slow-drying nature of oils and the extra cost in regards of both time and materials, an oil painting will take longer to complete and be more expensive than other mediums offered here. Acrylic Paint on Canvas Acrylic portraits offer the texture and realism of a painted portrait at a lower cost than that of an oil painting. Average completion time of an acrylic painting is one week but may be sooner depending upon how busy I am. Coloured Pencil Amazing detail and realism can be acheieved with this medium, but the finished work will require framing under glass with the addition of suitable matting and a backing board. All drawings are created on high quality drawing cartridge. Graphite (Lead Pencil) For those of you who favor this medium, I am happy to create a detailed drawing for you. This is one of my favorite mediums to work with as it allows me to achieve both subtle shading and strong lines. Will require framing under glass to protect your portrait with matting and backing board. Created on high quality drawing cartridge. Charcoal Charcoal offers sharp contrasts, subtle shading and a truely artistic result. Best for simple portraits without background clutter. Will require framing under glass to protect your portrait with matting and backing board. Created on high quality drawing cartridge. Pen & Ink (Black line art) Another of my favorite mediums. Offers strong linework with line shading offering surprising depth and detail. Very artistic result. Will require framing under glass to protect your portrait with matting and backing board. Returning customers also recieve $5 off each portrait ordered.. ======================================== ======================================= PAYMENT METHODS & PROCEDURE: .======================================== I accept the following forms of payment for pet portraits: PayPal : PayPal accepts most credit cards or funds can be transferred directly from your PayPal account. You do not need a PayPal account. PayPal is available for Australian and International customers. Money Order/Cheque: Money order is available to both Australian and International customers. The amount must be in Australian dollars. Cheques are accepted only from Australian customers. Direct Deposit: Australian customers can also pay via Direct Deposit into my bank account. My bank details will be provided once the portrait is complete and you are happy to buy it Payment procedure : Payment for pet portraits is not due until the portrait is completed and you are happy with it. If paying by PayPal or credit card : If you have a PayPal account any amount that you pay can be easily refunded if necessary.I will send you an invoice via PayPal when the portrait is completed and you are happy with it. If paying by Money order/Cheque:Cheque/Money Order should be made payable to - Melanie Schmidt. Mail can take from around one day to one week within Australia to reach my address - the average is three days. Overseas mail via airmail usually reaches my address in around ten days, some mail can take three weeks or more, depending upon how it is sent. When making a Direct Deposit, it is important that you attach a name or number to identify the transaction and contact me to inform me of what it is so I can track your payment. I do accept payment by installment if this is easier for you: I want my artwork to be affordable but it also has to be profitable enough for me in order to make it worthwhile.
